Our own fleet · El Cajon, California
We own the machines. That's why we hit your date.
Most concrete jobs slip because the contractor is waiting on a rental yard. Ours sit in our shop — planetary grinders, shot blasters, a ride-on stripper, and HEPA extraction on every unit. It's the difference between quoting a schedule and keeping one.
Got a date you can't move? Tell us what it is. We'll tell you honestly if we can hit it.
The fleet
Six machines that do most of the work.
Not a spec sheet for its own sake — each one exists because it does a specific job faster or cleaner than the alternative.
EDITOR NOTE — two facts still needed. Michael's tooling and burnisher photos are in. Still useful from him: how many grinders we can run on one floor at once (the strongest speed claim we could make), and real model names beyond "ASL" and "Hybrid Bronco". Then delete this box.

ASL planetary grinders
Our workhorse. Variable speed, multiple heads, and enough weight to open a hard slab on the first pass instead of the third.
What we use it on
Every polish, grind & seal and coating prep job
Variable speed · electric and propane · multi-head

HEPA dust extraction
Every grinder runs connected to a HEPA extractor that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. This is what lets us work in a building that's still open.
What we use it on
Occupied offices, retail, medical, homes
99.97% at 0.3 microns · on every machine, not some

Shot blasters
Strips contaminants and old coatings while leaving a textured profile for the new system to key into. Faster than grinding across big open areas and it leaves a better bond.
What we use it on
Large-area coating prep, warehouses, decks
Removes coatings · creates bond profile · dust-contained
Ride-on Hybrid Bronco stripper
A ride-on floor stripper that pulls carpet, VCT and tile at walking speed. Zero emissions, so unlike a propane machine we can run it indoors in enclosed rooms and tight hallways.
What we use it on
Demolition and removal, occupied buildings
Zero emissions · runs indoors · ride-on speed
Diamond tooling, 30 to 3,000 grit
Metal-bond segments to open the floor, resins to refine it, PCD tooling to strip coatings and adhesive. Owning the full ASL range is why we can hit any finish you pick, instead of the one finish we happen to have tools for.
What we use it on
Matte through to glass-like gloss
30 → 3,000 grit · densified at 400 · burnishing pads

Tow-behind generator
Site power is often nowhere near enough to run three planetary grinders. We tow our own generator, which means a new build with no service yet, or a warehouse on a weekend shutdown, is still a job we can take.
What we use it on
New builds, remote sites, weekend shutdowns
Burnish every 6–12 months · full renewal 12–24
Propane burnisher
High-speed burnishing brings the shine back on a polished floor without re-grinding it. Propane means no cord to drag across a warehouse, so we cover a lot of square footage in a shift.
What we use it on
Renewals, maintenance programs, final pass before handover
Restores gloss · no re-grind · no cord to drag
Why it matters to you
Owning the fleet isn't a brag. It's your schedule.
Four things follow from it, and every one of them shows up on your calendar rather than in our garage.
We never wait on a rental yard
Rented machines arrive when the yard says so, not when your schedule says so. Ours are in our own shop in El Cajon. If a job moves up a week, we move up a week.
We can put more machines on one floor
The fastest way to finish a big slab is more heads running at once. When we own the fleet, adding a second or third grinder to hit your date is a decision, not a purchase order.
Nobody has to learn the machine
Our crews run these exact units every day. Familiar equipment is faster equipment, and it's the difference between a floor that's consistent wall to wall and one with swirl marks where somebody was still figuring it out.
We can work while you stay open
HEPA extraction on every grinder and a zero-emission stripper means we can run inside an occupied store, a working hospital or your house. That's usually worth more than raw speed — you never lose a day of trading.
On the job
Our equipment, on real floors.

For contractors
Need a grinder? It comes with an operator.
We rent our ASL grinding machines to other contractors, and we deliver them ourselves with one of our own operators on board. That isn't an upsell — a planetary grinder in unfamiliar hands is how slabs get gouged and how coatings fail later. You get the machine, the tooling and somebody who runs it every day.
Straight answers
What people ask about the equipment.
Can you really grind inside a building that's still open?
Yes, and we do it constantly — active retail, occupied medical buildings, running warehouses, people's houses. Every grinder is connected to a HEPA extractor rated to capture 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, and we plastic off every opening into the rest of the building. It isn't a clean room, but you will not be wiping concrete dust off shelves.
Does better equipment actually make the floor better, or just faster?
Both, and the quality part matters more. A heavier machine with the right tooling cuts flatter and more evenly, so you get a consistent finish across the whole slab instead of variation between passes. Owning the full grit range from 30 to 3,000 means we finish to the level you picked rather than the level our tools happen to reach.
Can we rent a machine from you?
Yes — and it comes with one of our operators. We deliver the machine and we send someone who runs it every day, because a planetary grinder in unfamiliar hands is how slabs get gouged. Call and tell us what you're working on.
Why does it matter that you own it rather than rent it?
Schedule. Rented equipment shows up when the rental yard has it available, which is why so many concrete jobs slip. Ours sit in our shop in El Cajon. If your date moves, we move with it — and if a floor needs a second machine to finish on time, we just bring a second machine.
Free quote · No pressure
Tell us your date. We'll tell you the truth.
Call and describe the floor and the deadline. If we can hit it we'll say so, and if we can't we'll tell you that too rather than take the deposit and hope.
